At Total First Aid Solutions, we believe that safeguarding awareness is a core competency for anyone working in first aid, pre-hospital care, or community-facing roles. Our safeguarding courses are designed to give delegates the knowledge, confidence, and practical frameworks they need to recognise concerns and take the right action.

 

What we offer

Level 2 Safeguarding Awareness

A focused introduction to safeguarding principles. This course covers the recognition of abuse and neglect in both children and vulnerable adults, an overview of relevant legislation, and the steps delegates should take when a concern arises. Suitable as a refresher or for those new to a safeguarding role.

Level 3 Safeguarding Course

Our comprehensive Level 3 course is a more in-depth look at safeguarding. Topics include:

• Child safeguarding — indicators of abuse, the role of the MASH, and referral pathways
• Adult safeguarding — the Care Act framework, Section 42 enquiries, and the Mental Capacity Act
• PREVENT — understanding radicalisation, the CONTEST strategy, and the Channel referral process
• Practical case-based learning through realistic and thought provoking scenarios

This course is delivered over a full day and includes a written assessment.
